Description

Students will research a topic that is pre-determined by the instructor. Possible topics include Large Language Models for finance, insurance, under-represented languages; deep learning for healthcare, etc.

Software & Platforms

Typically we use Python together with packages for deep learning, NLP, Computer Vision. Models are trained using UConn HPC, or Google GCP via Google GCP grants.

Exams, Assignments, and Project

There is no exam. Students are expected to write a report. Good results may be published in a paper.
